Build Investor Confidence and Market Visibility With AI-Augmented Strategic Communications
AI speeds up the research and drafting. A person still decides what each piece argues and checks every claim. How that works, with two client engagements.

An AI tool might replace “helps reduce manual work” in a service description with “eliminates manual work.” The sentence still reads well, but it now promises a prospective customer that the work will disappear altogether.
Catching that kind of change is my job. I lead every client engagement at Sirotin Ventures. AI speeds up my research and drafting; I decide what each piece argues, check the evidence behind its claims and rewrite the work before it reaches the client.
Sirotin Ventures pioneered AI-augmented strategic communications. We were alpha users of Jasper when it was still called Jarvis, and of tools from OpenAI and Anthropic. In 2026, Acquisition International named us Best AI-Augmented Strategic Communications Firm in its Global Excellence Awards.
Below, I explain how I work with AI and describe two client engagements: investor materials for an investment group and articles for five executives at a global payments firm.
Choosing the audience before drafting with AI
Before I draft anything, I establish who the piece is for and what they need to understand. An investor considering a fund has different questions from a customer considering a service.
Take a company entering a new market. Its website has to say what it offers and who it serves, and its sales presentation has to say why a customer should choose it. If the two describe the business differently, a prospect who reads one and then sees the other has reason to doubt both.
Our strategic communications work spans:
Positioning and market entry. Working out how to introduce a business in a market where people don’t know it yet or have misunderstood what it does.
Fundraising narratives and investor materials. Building decks and fund narratives around the questions investors ask, with evidence behind the claims.
Executive and stakeholder messaging. Helping leaders communicate with boards, investors and other stakeholders, including when they have to explain a change in direction.
Market intelligence. Researching the market so a company has a firmer basis for its positioning and can explain the opportunity it sees.
AI shortens the preparation. I use it to organize research, compare sources and try different drafts before choosing one.
How I review AI drafts for accuracy and voice
AI slop can have perfect grammar. A pitch can sound ambitious without giving its reader a reason to believe it, and an executive article can say what everyone else has already said.
A request for “a compelling investor presentation” gives a tool the format and tone. Someone who knows the business still has to explain why the strategy makes sense and supply the evidence.
If the explanation is weak, I go back to the research or ask the client a question before rewriting it.
I give the AI tools the company context they need and configure custom agents to reflect each client’s voice and communications needs.
When a draft comes back, I ask: |
|---|
|
I look hardest for revisions that make a claim stronger than the evidence supports. They turn up in website copy and sales presentations alike.
Less time organizing research, more time developing ideas
The first workable idea can become the final one because the deadline is close. By the time the research is organized and the interview notes are usable, there may be little room to try another approach.
Reducing that preparation gives me room to stay curious. A passing remark from a founder might deserve a follow-up call. A customer’s explanation of why they hesitated could suggest a more interesting opening than the one in the brief. I can explore that possibility, write it a few ways and see whether it holds up.
That’s where I want some of the time saved with AI to go. Into the idea I might otherwise have left in the notes.
How one conversation can inform a website and investor materials
Your team is ready to talk about a new service, but the website still describes the old offer. An investor meeting is approaching, and the deck needs another pass. The people who would update those materials are busy running the business.
Because AI shortens the research and drafting, I can get more out of each conversation with your team. You get:
Less repetition for your team. One conversation with your leadership can inform several pieces of work. An explanation of the offer shapes the website; a discussion about expansion shapes an investor presentation. I still write each piece for its own purpose and audience.
A clearer story for potential clients and investors. A prospect often reads your website before asking for a presentation. When both explain what you do in the same terms, that first conversation starts further along, and your team has relevant material to send afterward.
An earlier draft to react to. First drafts typically arrive in 48 to 72 hours. That gives you something specific to discuss, including claims that need evidence and questions that need answers before a meeting or launch.
Two client engagements: fundraising materials and executive articles
We served as fractional CMO for a sustainable real estate and renewable energy investment group targeting investors in the United States and China. The engagement covered brand development, investor materials and communications for the capital raise.
The group raised $20 million for fund growth. Our communications work was one part of that effort; whether an investor commits also depends on the investment itself and the investor’s priorities.
For a global payments firm, we developed thought leadership for five C-suite executives, combining quarterly strategy, payments research and writing in each executive’s voice. The program delivered more than 25 articles and reached six to eight a month at its peak. The fuller case study has more detail.
Prospects could follow the leadership team’s thinking on issues that affected their own businesses, and the sales team had an article to send when a prospect raised a related question.
If you’re preparing for a raise, entering a new market or finding it hard to explain a complex business, I’d be happy to talk. Tell me what you’re working toward and where you’re getting stuck. You can reach me at angelica@sirotinventures.com.
